November 2, 2010 General Election

LWV and the California Channel are partners in providing free air time to all candidates running in the election. This program, called Free Air Time, will air in late September. LWV will interview candidates in a fair, balanced, non-biased manner. The schedule for the interviews will be listed here when avaiable. The California Channel airs on the following channels:
W.Sacramento/Auburn: Channel 18 on WAVE broadband
Roseville/Sac/Placerville: Channel 108 on Comcast
Northstar: Charter Communications
Sacramento: Channel 9 on Surewest

Climate Change

This is one of the most serious threats to the environment, health and economy of our nation and the world. Global warming pollution can be reduced by using existing technologies. State and local initiatives are proving that answers exist. The League urges federal action that reduces global warming pollutants on a national and global scale.
